I would like to share with you the 1st Edition to our quarterly based newsletter, VIS Voice.

In our launching edition we provided our readers with a glimpse into VIS Products & Services, Achievements, People and Latest Updates. This time we would like to share more insights about our people and our achievements.

VIS is a company with local roots and a culture that embraces diversity in all its forms, we have recently witnessed a new political shift in Egypt that was followed by a chain of unfortunate events , we however, have been  professionally trained in the past period on how to handle such situations and smoothly pass every storm we face with solidarity and actions measured in Speed, Simplicity and Trust.

We proceeded with our usual Business Continuity Plans with the standards that will support our business and ensure that VIS quality services reaches  through to all our customers around the world. And so far it has been a huge success, proving that at VIS every day is a Business as Usual even if the day is Unusual.
VIS Awards
Vodafone Qatar Wins a MENA Customer Delight Award

This award is organized by the Secretariat of the Middle East & North Africa Customer Delight Award together with American Liberty University (ALU) and the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management

The award recognises and celebrates customer service best practices amongst Middle Eastern and North African based companies. It also aims to encourage companies to become more service focused and to promote the importance of customer service across the region

Vodafone Ireland Wins Best Launch of Vodafone RED Award

Ireland was selected out of all the OpCos in the VIS Portfolio to receive an award for 'Best Launch of Vodafone RED‘ which was fully supported by VIS Ireland Account.

RED has been a huge commercial success for Vodafone and that is a fantastic achievement which was won because the launch and campaign were really well executed.

Vodafone RED Plan is a set of Bill Pay Packages that allows the customers to enjoy endless minutes and texts, international calls and texts plus an optional new phone every year. as RED includes loads of data and options that support Vodafone customers to ensure they get the most out of their smart phones that they can get starting Free with the RED Package they choose. It was released in March 2013 and replaced "My Way" Plan.

VIS Technology
VIS is Developing and Maintaining Vodafone Germany Mobile Apps

Starting 1st of September, VIS has been selected by Vodafone Germany Online Experience Department to develop and manage their Mobile Self Services which is known as “My Vodafone App”. This partnership with Vodafone Germany is very important to VIS since it will utilize all of its mobile capabilities to support Vodafone Germany’s growing and continuing success. This partnership is also a reflection to VIS growth in the area of Enterprise Mobility






VIS and Vodafone Partner “Zain”

VIS has been successfully selected to provide Vodafone’s partner “Zain” in KSA Full Fledged Services of Billing, Charging and Mediation Consultancy. This came as part of Zain’s charging transformation towards new technology of Ericsson which was announced last August. VIS considered this partnership as a unique and important experience in providing Telecom Services for Vodafone partners in the Middle East

The latest addition to our Visa Appointment Center
In 2001, the Visa Appointment Center started in Vodafone Egypt serving one embassy, the United States of America, now, being part of VIS, we serve 13 embassies and handle over One Million calls per year supporting over 6,000 Applicants for USA and Schengen Embassies

We offer our embassies a number of services including Visa Appointment Reservations based on the type of visa, informing applicants about needed documents & visa types, as well as sending confirmation text messages with current application status. We also offer a set of other none Call Center Services such as Training and Greeters at Embassies

The latest addition to our Embassies’ Visa Appointment Centers is Cyprus

The Cyprus Queue:


It offers a Call Center information Service for the Embassy of Cyprus, where applicants can know all about the required documents, fees, do’s and don’ts before visiting the Embassy for Visa submission

There was a power outage in the German Data Centre hosting all Vodafone Global Applications which caused an outage in all Enterprise Services. The problem happened during the official “Feast” Holiday and a weekend, Mohamed was leading the recovery team trying to minimize the impact on the end users in that critical time of the year

He worked for 4 continuous days and nights with different shifts helping the teams to recover services in a very timely manner leading down time to a minimum

At the end of the fourth day, services were up and running with minimum impact on end users



Vodafone UK Launches the 4G Network
Vodafone 4G network went live in London on the 29th of August

4G is an ultrafast service with speeds typically six times faster than the standard 3G. After London, launches in Birmingham, Bradford, Coventry, Edinburg, Glasgow, Leeds, Leicester, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham and Sheffield will come before the end of the year. Vodafone will bring indoor 4G coverage to 98% of the UK population by 2015

Launch of iMowaten
After the success of Entkhabaty Government Services via Mobile Apps, SMS and IVR Services which served over 5 million requests, VIS Products & Services launched its latest break through called iMowaten.

iMowaten is an application designed to mobilize Government Services to allow convenient access to many public essential services like car fines and trains schedules.

iMowaten introduces comprehensive mobilized and rich seamlessly accessible Government Services anytime anywhere. The solution uses Vodafone’s access to more than 35 million subscribers to bring awareness to the importance and convenience of using mobilized services.

iMowaten intends to keep the community engaged with the latest news & updates about the government while granting citizens on-the-go access to essential Government Services and information.

iMowaten brings more attention to Vodafone’s rich portfolio of Mobilized Government Services that include SMS & Call Center in addition to the Mobile App that makes it easier for the citizens to access available Government Services in multiple channels.

iMowaten proof of concept app is launched only on Apple’s AppStore for beta testing period to evaluate its potential. For 3 weeks, iMowaten remained the top #1 free app in the Egyptian App store with thousands of downloads.
