Simple balance transfer from one phone to another

To help a friend is easy! All you need to do is transfer balance or validity from your phone by dialing 868. If you are a business user, contact the authorized person in your company to activate this service on your phone.*

If your friends enter the grace period, you can send them not only balance but also a one day validity period for an extra 1 LE only!

Business users can transfer up to LE80 a month. The amount transferred will be deducted from your balance if you are a business control or limit user. If you are a Business line user, the transfer will be added to your monthly bill. You can transfer from LE1 to LE50 of balance per call.

 

What do I need to do?

To transfer Balance all you have to do is

Dial *868*2*Mobilenumber*Amount#

You will receive a flash notification that requests your confirmation on the amount transferred together with the mobile number receiving the transferred balance,If the data was correct, all you need to do is press “accept” or “reply”, then press “1” and send the message.
Balance transfer will cost 2 % of the amount transferred with minimum of 0.19 L.E
For example, if you transfer 1 pound, you will have to pay: LE 0.19
If you transfer 20 pounds, you will have to pay: 2% X 20= LE 0.40

 

Call 868
Balance transfer will cost Kalamna customers 2 % of the amount transferred with minimum of 0.29 L.E.
For other customers it will cost them 2 % of the amount transferred with minimum of 0.20 L.E.

To deactivate the service, simply bar the 868 number so that it can not be dialed. This can be done online, or by calling customer service.

To avoid fraud cases related to balance transfer, watch out for the following:

Case 1: If you receive a balance transfer confirmation SMS from a Vodafone mobile number, followed by a call from this number saying that the balance has been transferred to you by mistake, kindly note that:

  • Real balance transfer confirmation SMS is sent from Vodafone not from a mobile number
  • Make sure that the balance has been really transferred
  • Postpaid customers can only send but not receive balance

Case 2: If you receive an SMS/E-mail/Call claiming to be from Vodafone asking you to transfer balance/money to be eligible for winning prizes. If any of these competitions are really going on, it will be announced through different media channels and you will not be asked to transfer money by any means. In case you received such information kindly validate it with Vodafone call center.

 

*If you are a business line user, the balance transfer service is disabled by default
