Vodafone Push to Talk

The Push-to-Talk (PTT) service transforms your mobile phone into a walkie-talkie across Vodafone's network. Pushing a single button on your handset lets you send your speech to up to 25 cell phones at the same time.

Urgent request can be given from a focal point by PTT and also locating team members, so this service is perfect for businesses such as transportation and taxi cab, security, delivery and courier services.

To use PTT, you need a handset that supports the service and a subscription to the service.

The Push to Talk service guarantees secure instant communication with your contacts. You are always connected with them on the GPRS network so you can connect to other Vodafone Push-to-Talk users whenever you and they are in coverage anywhere in Egypt.

Push to Talk is faster to use compared to making calls using mobile phones. You are charged for the number of pushes you make rather than the number of minutes you talk, so it is also cheaper than making calls. Receiving a Push to Talk call is free, and the service’s monthly fees cover a fixed number of pushes per month.

The handsets not only serve as Push to Talk devices, but are also mobile phones and can make calls, sent text and multimedia messages.
