A data SIM is a postpaid SIM card for sending and receiving data. The data SIM can send messages and use GSM Data services and applications (such as the Desktop SMS solution), but it cannot make phone calls.
It only costs LE 50 to activate your data SIM and the monthly fee of LE 50 includes LE 35 of free data access and SMS sending - at the LE 0.25/minute data and LE 0.30/SMS rates, this amount is equivalent to 140 free minutes of data or 116 free SMS's! Bulk SMS rates are available for companies.

Vodafone's Multi SIM service lets you activate two additional SIM cards - SIM1 and SIM2 - from your current mobile phone (SIM0).
SIM1 can be used in your car phone or another mobile phone while SIM2 is for your PDA (personal digital assistant) or other wireless devices, so you don't have to keep removing the SIM card from your phone in order to use them.
All monthly and business line users can purchase multi SIM's. Prepaid line users who wish to purchase a multi SIM can do so by converting to a monthly price plan, while keeping their mobile numbers.
It only costs LE 100 to purchase two new SIM cards and LE 50 monthly to maintain.
