Amgad Zohny

 

In 2009 Amgad was appointed Head of IT for Vodafone International Services and has been challenged with the objective of leading the first IT off-shoring center for Vodafone.

He joined Vodafone Egypt, pre-launch, in 1998 as Acting Enterprise System Support Manager where he managed the successful implementation of all enterprise support applications ensuring quality and on-time delivery of key systems such as the financial package, HR system, inventory management and others.
In 1999 he was appointed Data Center Support Manager & Managed Data Center Support activities covering change & configuration management and security management for all business applications.
In 2001 he was appointed System Support Manager, managing planning, design, development, deployment & support of all enterprise back office systems based on ITIL service management.
By 2005 he was appointed Desktop & Systems Support manager where his responsibilities were expanded to cover beside back office systems, also front office systems: Microsoft Systems support, Technical support & remote support, for 3 main functions: Help desk, hardware management and business solutions support.

Prior to joining Vodafone, he was with Sigma Information Technology, IBM Partner in Cairo, Egypt (1992- 1998); with Saudi Consolidated Electric Co. in Saudi Arabia as a Systems Analyst (1990- 1992) and with Sugar and Distillery Company in Cairo as Programmer/ Analyst between (1984 & 1990.)
