Mr. Khaled Hegazy is the External Affairs and Legal Director for Vodafone Egypt, the leading telecommunications company and one of the largest companies in the Middle East. His scope includes Media and Public Relations, Corporate Social Responsibility and the Vodafone Foundation, Regulatory Affairs, Government Relations, Legal Affairs and Corporate Security.
When he first joined Vodafone, Mr. Hegazy was the Corporate Affairs Director for Vodafone Egypt and his scope included Media and Public Relations, Corporate Social Responsibility and the Vodafone Foundation, Internal Communications and Internal Branding.
Prior to that, Mr. Hegazy was the External Relations Department Head of P&G Near East (Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Iraq and Sudan). P&G is the world’s largest FMCG Company. The External Relations Department at P&G included Corporate Communications, Consumer Relations, Regulatory Affairs, Government Relations and Brand PR.
Before joining P&G, Mr. Hegazy was the Vice President of PITO, a prominent commercial representation company for industrial firms from Europe, Asia and USA, responsible for sales, customer relations, suppliers’ coordination, strategy and daily management of the establishment. In this firm Mr. Hegazy gained much of his knowledge and experience in trade, import and export, as well as international business.
Mr. Hegazy holds an MBA degree in Marketing & International Business and a B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering, both from the American University in Cairo.
Mr. Hegazy is very active in the Egyptian Business Community on different forums. He was a Principal Member of the Egypt's International Economic Forum representing P&G, and remains a member representing Vodafone. He is also a member of the Board of The Arab Academy Marketing Association (AAMA) of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport- College of Management and Technology. He is a member of the Egyptian American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) and of the Egyptian Junior Businessmen Association. He held the position of Chairman of the Detergents Committee in the Exporters Association of the Egyptian Federation of the Chambers of Commerce. Mr. Hegazy was the Chairman of the Egyptian Brand Protection Association and is a Board Member of the Egyptian–Lebanese Businessmen Association.
Recently, Eng. Hegazy has been appointed in the Telecom Industry Modernization Committee by a decree from the Minister of Communication and Information Technology and member of the Egyptian Paralympics Committee by the Minister of Sports.
Eng. Hegazy is married and has two girls.
